  • Ever On abides by guidance from the United Nations that anti-sexual violence work must prioritize the rights, needs, and wishes of survivors of sexual violence.

  • Sexual violence research has been conducted since the 1970's. Our work is data-driven and grounded in scientific evidence and theory.

  • Ever On follows the six principles of a trauma-informed approach: Safety. Trustworthiness & transparency. Peer support. Collaboration & mutuality. Empowerment & choice. Cultural, historical & gender issues.

  • Ever On strives to meet the specific needs of diverse client populations that stem from culture like language, communication styles, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. You are the expert on your own culture.

What informs our approach to prevention, response, & assessment?

Psychological mechanisms.

Psychology focuses on the “why” of behavior. Individuals might engage in certain behaviors because of their attitudes, beliefs, or perceptions. Psychology tells us how we can achieve behavior change and reduce violence.


Public Health models.

Public Health models tell us, “how.” A Public Health approach includes defining a problem, identifying risk and protective factors, and implementing strategies. Prevention is about addressing the root causes of violence.

Guiding Principles

  • Ideally, assessment happens before and after a project. Assessment is important before to tell us about your audience and lets us know what pieces are missing. It is important after to tell us if our strategy made a difference and what we can do next to continue to improve.

  • Your end goal might include learning outcomes for your audience, identifying and understanding an issue, managing a problem, or overcoming a barrier. Ever On believes that to reach a solution, we have to start by naming the ideal ones! We can work backwards from there to create the best strategy for you.

  • You may already have strategies that you know work, while others may not be achieving the outcomes you want. We believe in getting creative and adjusting to the best strategy for your audience. Together, we will identify and work to overcome challenges.

  • Whether your audience is new to this topic and not fully ready to hear what you have to say or advanced and striving to improve their efforts, Ever On will help tailor your message for good engagement, avoiding polarizing or overwhelming them.

  • We have learned this from our best colleagues! Ever On will take through a variety of strategies to uncover what would be best for your audience. Sometimes it is a training, but sometimes it’s a working group session, a marketing campaign, informational materials, updated language, new policies, or something totally different!
